Universal Care Services was founded in 2003 as one of the leading healthcare providers in the West Midlands. In 2005, the company expanded to Warwickshire. The progressive growth of the company was as a result of our good service and referrals we received from our service users and friends. By 2011, Universal Care Services expanded even further to Coventry and parts of East Midlands.

We alooking for a qualified and experienced Health and Social Care trainer to work from our Hinckley office.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering training courses covering: Moving and Handling, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, DoLS, Dementia Awareness, Dementia with De-Escalation Techniques, Person Centred Working, First Aid, Clinical Skills (temperatures, pulses, blood pressures, blood glucose, respiratory rates, continence, catheter care), Medication Management, to name but a few.
  • Keeping up to date with CPD to ensure awareness of changing legislation relating to the delivery of Health and Social Care Training and ensuring that the training you deliver is always up to date with current standards.
  • Supporting the Quality Manager to identify training needs.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g. Certificate of Education/PTLLS
  • Previous experience of working as a Trainer within the Health and Social Care Sector (min 2 years)
  • Functional Skills in Maths & English at Level 2 or equivalent
  • Excellent all-round IT Skills
  • Proven track record in achieving maximum results through effective learner delivery
  • Vocational experience and up to date knowledge within the chosen sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated to encourage staff participation and enthuse the learners to improve on their practices
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS Check.
